The release of the first book 'How the Wind Blew - Operation Pawan - IPKF veterans tell their stories', generated quite a bit of interest among the veterans who had been part of the operations in the Island Nation, and more personal accounts started flowing in. It came to a point where I had enough accounts to bring out this, a second volume. The accounts shared here resemble those in the first volume in the sense that these too are remarkable stories of courage, sacrifice, devotion to duty and the Nation. They naturally do differ in the details of the people involved, the locations and circumstances. The second volume does provide finer details of and, more insights into the IPKF in Sri Lanka, and it overall reinforces impressions garnered by reading the first.
