About the Author
1) Squadron Leader Pushp Kumar Vaid , VrC, is a distinguished helicopter pilot, recipient of the Vir Chakra for displaying courage and valour during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
After retiring from the Indian Air Force in 1974, he joined British Airways in the UK, where he flew helicopters over North Sea oil rigs.
He later spent years flying in Nigeria with a Dutch helicopter company, before retiring in 2007. A passionate writer of wartime memoirs, an enthusiastic golfer, and a dedicated philanthropist, he is also known for his mastery of Indian cuisine.
2) Sangeetha Vallat , a seeker of stories, is the author of Platform Ticket (Penguin Random House) a memoir of her ticketing days in Railways.
She is passionate about books, travel, friends and conversations. Relinquishing a memorable career spanning fourteen years in the Indian Railways, she now lives in Dubai with her husband.
Her short stories are featured in several anthologies and online journals.
